STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

Siging up for the Life Makeover Show is just the first step...it's up to you to make the most of your investment and maximise your presence at the show. Here's some tried and tested tips to stand out from the crowd:

  • Be different - be innovative, interesting and involve the audience in your stand. This allows them to interact, experience and engage. Originality rather than design is the key to an effective presence at any event. Try to create an atmosphere that will stimulate all 5 senses and visitors will remember the experience.
  • Set measurable targets - exhibitions are incredibly versatile and setting goals will help justify your investment. Think outside the box: source new business, invite existing customers or press, increase awareness of your company, undertake some market research.
  • Unspoken communication - body language is key at exhibitions...make eye contact and engage visitors with a welcoming smile.
  • Attract visitors to your stand - get visitors thinking about you before the event by undertaking your own pre-show marketing, however small - it really doesn't have to cost very much. Maximise your impact and prime the audience so that they seek you out at the show. Make full use of sales promotion, direct marketing and PR techniques available before, during and after the show.
  • Know your visitor - visitors to the Life Makeover Show are serious: they've given up their time to attend and many have paid an admission fee. They are buyers with a purpose and want to be treated with attention. Ask the right opening questions to 'qualify' your leads - spend just the right amount of time with the right people.
  • Follow up ruthlessly - use an effective method of recording leads so you can follow up sales leads after the show...not everyone will be willing to sign up at the show, and you may capitalise after the show. Remember to get permission if you wish to contact people via email, phone or post.
  • Earn media coverage - keep a good supply of well presented literature on your stand for visitors and any visiting journalists to visit your stand.
  • Time is precious - the average visitor has a lot of exhibitors to see, so make every moment count!
  • Re-book early - ensure you re-book your stand early to ensure you have the space and location you want for the following year.
